About Us

I'm Jane Mortimore. I'm an artist and owner of Laughing Crow Artisans. I've been drawing and painting since 2014 and have been a photographer since 2004. 

My primary painting style is abstract realism, but I also paint pure abstract as well as pure realism. My preferred media are acrylic, pastel, watercolor, and graphite pencil/charcoal. 

Laughing Crow Artisans is currently an online art gallery, but it was at one time a brick and mortar art gallery and studio, located in Springer, a small town in northern New Mexico. It was located in the historic Brown Hotel Building, built between 1920 and 1924. The hotel building  was purchased in June 2021. It was partially renovated and the gallery opened in April 2022.  

Unfortunately, the maintenance of the 100+ year-old hotel building was too much for one person and the gallery was closed in early 2023.

Laughing Crow Artisans supports selected artists by selling their artworks on our website at a low commission rate. We also host art competitions with cash prizes and invitation to sell finalists artwork on our website.
